Leadzolo Marketplace Strategy Guide

How the Marketplace works, how investors use it alongside real-time bidding, and how to pick leads worth buying.

Updated November 2, 2026 · By the Leadzolo team

The short version: The Marketplace holds seller leads that weren't won through real-time bidding. You browse them, filter to your markets and buy the ones you want, from about $2 to $150 depending on the lead and demand. Once you buy a lead, it's exclusive to you. Investors use it to test markets, fill gaps between bid wins and control exactly what they spend.

How the Marketplace works

  1. A seller submits a request. The lead goes to real-time bidding first, where the top bidder for that area wins it instantly.
  2. Unwon leads move to the Marketplace. If nobody wins it through bidding, it shows up in the Marketplace.
  3. Prices move. A Marketplace lead's price can change during its window based on the lead and how demand is moving.
  4. You buy, it's yours. Once purchased, nobody else can buy that lead.
  5. Unsold leads move on. After about 24 hours, an unsold lead can move into the Zolo Club shared pool.

Most active buyers use both.

"What I like best about it is I can do my bids or I can go in marketplace. And honestly, I think one of the best features you have is being able to pause and unpause every different one as opposed to just turn it on and open the floodgates."

Strategy 1: Pick and choose

The Marketplace lets you look at a lead before you buy it. Read the seller's situation, check the location and decide.

"I love marketplace cuz it allows me to just pick and choose. And if I want to spend more, I'll just hit it."

Strategy 2: Watch your own counties

Investors who know a market well jump on Marketplace leads there. You already know the comps, the buyers and the neighborhoods.

"When I go marketplace and I see that they're my county, that's when I'm like instantly I'm on them."

"With LeadZolo, you have the marketplace and you're able to pick and choose the county. So, you get a leg up that way."

Strategy 3: Don't wait on a lead you like

Every Marketplace lead you leave sitting is one another investor can buy.

"I got one from Marketplace last night. I felt I don't know if it was God prompting me or just my own boredom, but I felt like I wanted to take it rather than wait. But we got that under contract for a cash offer, and that should be between 20 to 30 grand."

Strategy 4: Use low-priced lead types for creative offers

Some lead types sell for very little on the Marketplace, like motivated MLS-listed sellers who want another option because their listing isn't moving. Investors who pitch creative terms can turn them into deals.

"A lot of the sellers out there that are on there, they just are very motivated to sell because they got it listed already. So, I'll just go in and pitch them sub or creative terms."

Strategy 5: Set a budget and stick to it

The Marketplace can be addictive. Decide what you'll spend per week and which lead types and areas you'll buy before you start browsing.

"I'm very aggressive, and the marketplace has been very addicting. I feel like I'm just I feel like my issue is I just go on there and I buy everything."

Strategy 6: Call it right away

A Marketplace lead has had more time to sit than one won through bidding. Once you buy it, call immediately. See the speed to lead guide.
